4 cups of chopped fresh tomatoes 1 sliced onion
4 cloves 2 cups of chicken broth
2 tbs butter 2 tbs flour
1 tsp salt 2 tsp white sugar
To get the soup cooking put the tomatoes, onions, cloves, and chicken broth in a pot. Turn the heat on the oven to medium. Allow the soup to come to a boil. Allow the soup to boil for 20 minutes. Remove the mixture from the heat. Put the soup through a strainer. Get rid of anything that is left behind in the strainer. The soup should be smooth.
In the same pot used to make the soup melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and stir it to make a roux. Cook until it becomes a golden brown color. Whisk in the tomato soup a little bit at a time. Whisk until it is free from lumps. Add salt and sugar for reasoning. Once the seasoning is correct the soup can be served.

½ red bell pepper, diced up 1 /2 yellow bell pepper, diced up
¾ tsp butter 8 tomatoes, sliced
1 onion, diced 2 minced cloves garlic
2 cups chicken broth 2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar 1 ½ tsp basil
1 cup milk 1 tbs cornstarch
In a pot put the butter, red and yellow peppers and cook until the peppers become soft. Add the tomatoes, onion, garlic, and the broth. Season with the salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Adjust the seasoning as needed. Allow the soup to come to a boil. Cook the soup 20 minutes to soften the tomatoes.
Mix the milk and cornstarch in a separate pan. Heat until it is smooth. Add to tomato mixture. Allow the soup to come to a boil and simmer 5 minutes before serving.
